I have been working at Newell Rubbermaid full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Some really strong brands, like Sharpie and Calphalon. Decent total compensation plan if you are at Director level or above.

    Cons

Constant restructuring and management changes, which ripples through the organization. Fairly negative environment in Atlanta, and salary freezes for many. Too many decisions, even small ones, made by handful of people, leading to lack of direction and indecision.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on the people, create career paths, and do more than just cut costs

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Newell Rubbermaid full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Short training, great product samples, family atmosphere,

    Cons

    Unethical practices for family emergencies.

    Advice to Management

With the average working American family having many different situations, an employee should not have to set up their own cubicles after training, should not offer a 200 question knowledge test then take each employee one by one for the result in front of all. If the test wasnt passed you lost your position.
