I worked at NextGen Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Salary and benefits are competitive. Deadlines and workload are reasonable allowing for good work/life balance. Management at least at the director level are approachable and generally caring about their team.

Cons

The company now outsources development work to India. This is generally a very bad thing for developers working there as it will make opportunities for growth even less likely. This also effects job security.

Most teams are not really driven or even encouraged by management to learn/adapt new technologies/programming approaches. They are content to just keep doing what they are doing until retirement. If you are looking for an exciting place where you can grow as a developer and learn, this is probably not a place for you.

    Pros

    Very Good Practice Management System.

    Cons

    Lack of Leadership with a strategic mindset.
    Company culture is not supportive of a work/life balance.
    Career progression does not exist.
    Company's core values are just statements with no real support for them by leadership.
    Stock is dropping rapidly.

    Advice to Management

    Please treat your people better or they will leave.

    None. I hate the management. They never care for their employees.

    Cons

    This is the worst place I have ever seen in my life. I have made a very big mistake bu joining in this company. Each employee is at least having a work load of 4 people. The management never care for their employees and always blame their employees. They don't have a proper HR team. Working as a support analyst in this company is like a hell. They don't give any respect

    Advice to Management

    Hire more employees. Trust me. No employee in your company is happy. It's a shame on your part.
