I worked at Niagara Bottling full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Past paced culture .. great learning place and resume builder . You would be handling lot of responsibilities at early stage of career and scope for taking initiatives

Cons

Very high turn over .. not long term career path .. need to know upper management very well for career advancement .. can be very stressful at time .. skewed work life balance

Advice to Management

Develop career path and take time to develop internal employees instead of outside hiring

I worked at Niagara Bottling full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

the plant director was nice. pay was okay for a person looking for a real job.

    Cons

no communication, constant character assassination amongst your peers. you never know when or who will stab you in the back. a coworker had a tie-in with the director and was constantly feeding lies to him about my performance. the qa director didnt do much, relied on qa techs a bit too much (100%) to do the job. overall terrible place to be employed for a person with an education. a name (spanish) goes MUCH farther than education or experience does, by the vast amounts of families working here.

    Advice to Management

fire all your family employees that dont contribute. get rid of unestablished persons (one knows what a heyday would be made if the feds were called in to this establishment). hire natives...you operate in america. learn to legitimize your business. make money rather than filling people with anger with your failure. give your mechanics less money, because they are constantly infighting to 'break' machines so they can fix them, to make themselves be relevant and worth their six figure incomes. it is pathetic. hire some real qa people who give a heart. fire half of the management as they are too aloof to the real problems of the plant. fire people who blame others for their own shortcomings.

I have been working at Niagara Bottling full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large company plenty of learning opportunities a definite resume builder.

    Cons

High high turn around. Good resume builder but no future here if you don't know anyone in upper management. Pay is terrible when recruited was promised more money after 6 month review never happened. They treat employees as assets not people. Promotions are horrible not based on skill set. Company uses any excuse not to give employees more money. They seem to dangle the carrot and you will never get the carrot. Management turn around is high no leadership. Can't believe what any manager promises because it does not happen unless you are part of the "in-crowd". Too many managers not knowing what is going on projects are mismanaged, no management accountability but they sure take it out on staff. There is no intensive for employees to go above and beyond, no year end bonus, merit increases are pennies, things promised my management are not transferable. If you department as lots of management turn around employees get the short end of the stick because new manager doesn't know what old manager agreed to.

    Advice to Management

Keep employee expectations. If previous management agreed to pay, training, merit increase. Try to keep employees by giving them incentives to go above and beyond. Increase pay rates for hourly employees.
