I worked at Nokia full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Company has good benefits, vacations and specially 401K

Cons

Too many issues with leadership. Competency, vision and long term objectives are missing. Follow up and innovative approach is an issue all over.

Advice to Management

Long term goals and vision needs to be set on executive level and brought down all the way to bottom layer.

I have been working at Nokia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company has a wide pool of talented individuals.
    Good benefits and competitive pay.
    Work-life balance.

    Cons

Decision making is painfully slow and frustrating. Senior management is out-of-touch with the reality on the ground. Frequent layoffs. In last round of layoffs - several units in US were reduced to half their size - however number of management layers remained the same. Too few engineers, too many managers. Many projects end up with more powerpoint slides than lines of code.

    Advice to Management

Learn from your competition and improve speed of execution. Focus on improving the company's culture. Reduce management layers. Make more decisions like "yes" and "no" and avoid decisions like "maybe" and "next week".
