    Pros

Employees are encouraged to continuosly look for ways to further develop themselves in order to stay at the forefront of technology and build their competencies. And as a Nokia employee, you will find opportunities to live out and enjoy Nokia technology on a daily basis.

Nokia’s reward package includes competitive base pay and excellent opportunities for variable pay. Employees also receive benefits such as medical, dental and paid time off. Nokia offers an industry-leading 401k plan, an employer stock purchase plan and many other programs and perks.

Nokia understands the importance of juggling professional and personal interests, and offers support for meaningful achievement in work, family, friends and self.

    Cons

Too frequent changes most of which are confusing and unnecessary. Dead wood at management. Many departments function as silos. Everyone wants to protect their back during changes by politics. Very bad at integrating acquisitions.

    Advice to Management

Needs clear cohesive direction. Stop doing frequent reorgs and slidewares. Look hardly at all levels of management and remove the deadwood. Focus, focus and focus.

    Pros

Nokia is great. Great Work Life Balance. Managers really care about you. International travel. Laid back atmosphere. Good products

    Cons

Top performers get laid off because of constant reorganizations. Not marketing to the US market the way they should be.

    Advice to Management

Fire the North America Marketing Group & start over. Advertise in the US. Who cares about the Nokia theater or product placement in movies or videos. Advertise in magazines & commercials. Put up billboards in LA, & NYC. Create some buzz. You have great products, but in the US, you have to have them shoved in your face to sell. Especially against the Iphone. Also, get a little more innovative.
