I have been working at Nordstrom part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

commission based, anniversary sale, employee discount, reasonable hours compared to the real world

    Cons

company does not treat you as well as they should, workers get last pick of anniversary sale, yet they dangle merchandise in your face
people were not suited for college grads/students

    Advice to Management

Hire higher end, more well educated individuals for higher end departments. No one wants to buy a $300 blouse from someone who doesn't look like they can spell a multi-syllabic word.
