I have been working at Nordstrom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good business being an anchor store in Aventura.
    Friendly co-workers.
Good job; not a good place to grow a career. There's a difference.

    Cons

Returns during slow pay periods will leave you with very small paychecks.
Not a good store to grow in - managers are stepping down from their positions because the pay is not worth the stress from upper management.
Your hard work will go unnoticed and unappreciated.

    Advice to Management

Start acknowledging the people that work hard instead of the people that "look the part". The company is losing talented leaders to competitors.

I worked at Nordstrom full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great product, good training tools, buyers are great at communicating with you to meet customers needs.

    Cons

They should pay a set salary for the first six months instead of 100% commission, trying to build a clientele while required to meet a sales quota on 100% comm. makes it a very stressful place to work, hours are very bad.

    Advice to Management

Pay more attention to sales associates feedback on what's selling or not, managers should not have a sales quota as it creates friction between managers and the employees on their team.
