I have been working at North American Membership full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Fun place to work
Lots of events get employees involved
Good pay, good benefits
Good amount of time off
Overall just fun

Cons

We never hear how the company is doing or the yearly numbers.
We do not see senior mangement much either but we always see their catered lunch's being delivered.
Our IT Goup has their own wing and are not very friendly to others.

Advice to Management

Get out more and don't hide behind a desk. Make weekly rounds so you can hear what the issues are first hand and then take action. The success of the company is in your hands so it's ok to get to know your employees and listen to their feedback. Get some young talent into the senior management team for some fresh ideas and new energy.

    Pros

    - Unique business model that creates a niche in the industry
    - Employees who are passionate and knowledgable/experts about the clubs' themes

    Cons

    - Owned by private equitiy. Decisions are based soley on short term gains and ignore the long-term risks.
    - Culture is very negative which has taken a significant impact on morale.

    Advice to Management

    - Bring in new management that has some experience other than NAMG to spur some life into the organization.
    - Layoffs are not the answer for everything. Another short-term fix that causes bigger long-term issues. See that your employees are assets, not just another expense.
