I have been working at Northeast Health System full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

It is a "Job", with standard benefits.

Cons

They have become part of the trend to "medicalize" Social Work, ie: to require Social
workers to maintain "Productivity Standards", which are inimical, ethically and clinically, to "healing" as we are trained to do.

Advice to Management

Ditch "Productivity Standards". Allow Cinicians to maintain their own "productivity", which invariably requires greater "flexibility" working with troubled clients, for ex: whether the "clinical hour" is necessary.

I worked at Northeast Health System (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They have a union, they pay for your acls, bls, tncc, ect

    Cons

Leadership is all out for themselves , they will not come to terms with a new nursing contract, administration gets huge bonuses and they want to decrease nurses salaries to half steps

    Advice to Management

Consider the backbone of the workplace(nursing, X-ray , resp. Therapists, cat scan techs, ect.) first before the "bottom"line

  2. "Plenty of learning potential but not paid for the amount of work"

    Pros

NEH has plenty of learning opportunities for its employees and there are a number of opportunities for individuals to advance their career and grow inside the company.

    Cons

While there are plenty of opportunities, many times the pay is lower than would be expected for certain positions.

    Advice to Management

It's great that you are focused on the organization and the patients but you must also remember that your employees make the organization run.
