I worked at Northern Arizona University full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

- Location in the ponderosa pines with the glorious San Francisco Peaks nearby
- Extra effort is made to unify campus messages by communications between departments
- You have the potential to carve out your own niche and be creative
- Good benefits package

Cons

- Lower than average salaries and high cost of living
- Budgetary difficulties due to dependence on government funding
- The perception of being a third-tier school is hard to shake

Advice to Management

Merit-based pay raises would go a long way.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Northern Arizona University part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Competitive hourly pay, with flexible working hours. During school I could drop and pick up shift throughout my week to counteract homework loads. Bosses are super relaxed and care about their employees.

    Cons

The STC is almost always open so its possible hours may suck. Sometimes the workload is slow, which leads to boredom of employees(depends on how you like to spend your time).

    Advice to Management

Good job for the most part.
