Pros

Friendly and fun atmosphere. Employers work hard to accommodate students' schedules. School and students' well being always come first.

Cons

Not much room to move up. No weekend hours. Hard to find job within your career field. Lower pay than students may need.

Don't talk down to research assistants, especially when we know how to search something online better than you do

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Northern Arizona University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay mostly comes as free services (ie. housing and meal plans). Fun work with lots of positive social interaction. Meet many friends for life. Job is relatively easy. Management is mostly supportive. Work around schedules to ensure education stays a top priority.

    Cons

Stipend pay is very low, difficult for the current state of the economy. Over abundance of trainings and meetings that are often redundant, time consuming, and mostly common sense. Lots of red tape for everything, want a new stapler for the desk? fill out a form wait 2-3 weeks. Some policies will cause you to sacrifice your individuality, mainly in the political field acceptable forms of expression depend on the political views of your supervisor.

    Advice to Management

    None
