Pros

Relaxing, not a lot of pressure (you are still take a breath!). You are given the time to learn the things you need to do your job correctly.

Cons

Compensation not as high compared to commercial companies (high tech). However, the is understandable because of the relaxing environment. You are pay enough to work 40 hours a week, but not 50+ hours a week as in other high tech (commercial) companies.

Advice to Management

A great place to work. Just bring in more younger employees to loosen the "tight" environment in the office!

    Pros

Pay, location, weather and free parking.

    Cons

Too many to list but here are but a few: loud unprofessional office environment, no training budget, no local IT group, management that rules by fear and intimidation.

    Advice to Management

Stop manageing to a limited set of metrics. Stop using fear and intimidation as your primary motivational tools.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Transfer opportunities within the company. Good benefits for education (100% with some monetary annual caps for the different sectors - ES is the best sector for those benefits by far). Comprehensive health plans with a few options to choose from.

    Cons

They are laying people off left and right. I have been there two years so far and they have had 4 layoff with a possibility of two more to come this year (2012).

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and invest in a younger, more dynamic and cultural diverse work force.
