I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (More than a year)

Pros

seasoned experts, some very competent upper managers who are very sharp and genuinely care about your growth. not too much politics

Cons

culture is very old school, slow. not much young blood. you become very specialized and may become bored quickly with little room for innovation.

Advice to Management

it takes too long for employees to orient themselves; assimilate your employees better and create an agile environment and drive your tasks to completion aggressively.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fairly laid back work environment if you can get with the right group of people. Company is trying to find ways to increase "engagement" and provide programs to promote work-life balance and healthy living.

    Cons

Each year the benefits are getting worse. Decreased merit percentage increases, allotment to accrued vacation, unlimited sick days to PTO, increased insurance premiums. Promoting "lateral" job moves versus promotions, even when deserved.

I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some flexibility in deadlines/deliverables. Access to training.

    Cons

No flexibility in working hours. That was mainly due to bad management, though.

    Advice to Management

I know the military is hard to make changes with, but supporting your employees in "fighting the good fight" would win us all over.

Going for over a year with barely any work to do because the contract only specifies a certain amount of work is BS...
