Pros

Good benefits, Salary, time off and great treatment from HR and Management . . . . . . . . .

Cons

Company is too big and managers cannot keep up with employees performance. Sometimes they relied in other subcontractors to decide your performance. They have a lot of regular employees and not enough managers to measure your performance sometimes there is no managers on site. ! ! ! ! ! !

Advice to Management

Watch closely your talent, because smaller companies are taking them from you.

"A company that only seems to reward incompetence."

    Pros

Some people like the location but it is up to the individual if they like Los Angeles. The ability to and the support from management to allow for remote work access is a plus.

    Cons

The number of incompetent employees is astounding. Countless low level employees are unable to do their jobs. Program management is unable to recognize the lack of completed, quality work from these people. Functional management is unable to assign quality people to the positions needing them. How so many people can be oblivious to such a large problem is insulting to those who perform well and are expected to make up for wide spread incompetence from upper management to lowly worker. People who actually perform well are not given the recognition they deserve. People who fail to perform are not punished in any form. Top performers are stuck on the same career path at the same compensation levels as people who should have never received a degree.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue, seriously I have yet to meet or talk to anyone in management who understands how lacking this company is in people at all levels that can really perform their job well.

    Pros

Decent pay and average benefits. If you're looking for a good, average company, Northrop Grumman is fair. They have several sectors; so, if you wanted to, you could find a job somewhere. You just may have to look for a few months to find the one that matches exactly what you're looking for.

    Cons

You can be the best worker at a site, but still get treated like the worst. They try to treat everyone the same, I guess because of lawsuits and all of this ethics training, but some workers need to be told they're slacking. They need to reward the hardest workers better in order to keep the best.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat your employees. Without employees to manage, you would have no company. If you keep treatin everyone like assembly-line worker bees (ie. you must work your butt off without any praise or compensation) you will lose the top talented people.
