I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great training among smart people who are cohesive and focues on their target markets (customers, employees and shareholders).

Cons

Too many late nights and weekends. Vacation available but the peer environment does not foster taking time away - besides it takes forever to catch up if you go away even for a week. Gotta remember and enforce unplugging yourself.

Advice to Management

Provide a stand-in for BD leaders. It's important to have us recharge our batteries so we are most effective.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay is good and I like my co-workers...I just wish they'd stop laying them off!

    Cons

Lots of lay-offs. Upper management seems more concerned with making sure that nothing peeks over the edge of the cubes, buying large screen tv's for the reception area than with improving by offering items such as training (not in the budget) or raises (Not even cost of living). Since there is little work, there is also no room for growth or upward mobility.

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep people from defecting to other companies you might want to change your priorities.
