I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

If you are on a client site, NG pretty much leaves you alone to do your work.

Cons

VERY difficult to move up. The division I was in didn't invest in your career advancement.
You have to be careful in which division and what contract you work on. Some margins are so tight that raises are very stingy.

Advice to Management

Ensure career advancement for your experienced, non-mgt performers.

I have been working at Northrop Grumman (More than a year)

    Pros

Laid back environment, work from home when you need to, low stress, good pay

    Cons

Inefficient culture that stems for government and defense contracts, poor intern development (in my case, very dependent on your manager some are very good)

    Advice to Management

Focus on creating a leaner organization that empowers decision makers. It seemed like everything needed approval from 9 people before anything could get done.

I worked at Northrop Grumman full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Worked on a project that was actually utilized by the company. Team was very focused and engaged on helping me feel welcome and understand how things ran at the company.

    Cons

Usually work on only one project as an intern which is predictable, but success is oriented on the outcome of that project.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in interns because they are potentially the future employees if they are given the chance to come back and actually decide too.
