    Pros

Large company with many project possibilities and locations for employment. Excellent mentor program for new college grads and children of employees. Many opportunities for in house training and some external training fund are available. Ease of moving from one project to another as long as you don't mind long commutes.

    Cons

Large company with little "personal" attention to YOUR career. Automated job research system not helpful in finding follow-on work when your contract ends (and all contracts eventually come to an end!) Performance review process is proforma rather than really helpful in guiding you career growth. Raises are usually low ... Get a good salary package when you start!

    Advice to Management

Get to know the "little" people.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Very great set of people with good personalities. Great benefits and a relaxed work environment.

    Cons

Low salaries for the area, lack of upward mobility options. Very few promotions. Upper management is inept and not very personable. Work is very mundane and very frequently boring and repetative. Management not very friendly to "shaking the tree" and not very open to new ideas. Management very open to brown nosers wagging their ears.

    Advice to Management

Go to some courses on how to treat your workers. You only have a job because of them and treating them like cattle is not a way to make them want to make YOU shine.

Working towards higher wages would raise your status in the eye of your workers (of course) as would paying attention to where you personnel are placed.
Having someone who is very good at procurement and administrative tasks doing that job is usually a good idea. They should probably not be doing a job where they are completely unfamiliar with the subject matter...especially when the job they are doing...is customer facing.
