Great Company Culture, Mostly Great Management - Systems Engineer Northrop Grumman Employee Review
- 5.0Sep 21, 2023Systems EngineerCurrent Employee, more than 1 yearRoy, UT
Pros
- Awesome coworkers - Interesting work - Challenging problems - Job stability - Good compensation for the area, and competitive compensation for the market - Flexible work schedules (even though most positions here say no hybrid work, if you have a good manager and valid excuse - feeling unwell, other obligations, kids - they will allow you to remote work certain times/days)
Cons
- Office politics - A few horrendous managers and leads that suck up to their leadership to get the promotion, but do not exhibit leadership characteristics themselves - Some incompetent/lazy employees that delay work for everyone else - A very apparent lack of training and internal guidelines

Pros
People are generally helpful within organization mostly engineers. 9/80 schedule every other Friday off. Overall stable employment if all you want is a paycheck so good place to get experience after college. Good educational benefits.
Cons
lame benefits besides education ones. If you are prior military just go Federal. As a contractor you are a scrub to Gov... (REDACTED) . Company culture is non-existent most everyone works in segregated work spaces. Work life balance was good during pandemic then it was forced return to office to be in meetings via Zoom! there are still remote jobs out there NG not the place. If you are Gen Z you will hate it, the Gen Z folk I worked with did not last and they motivated others to leave as well.
