    Pros

Benefits package (flexible spending plans). Casual work environment. People are generally pretty friendly toward each other. The longterm employees cover for each other, try to find a position for each other when there is not enough work in one particular area, care about each other.

    Cons

Very little support from management. People are promoted whether or not qualified for a position and not provided with the support they need to be successful in their new position. It is very difficult to get manager approval for training in new technologies as well, even if no one in the group has experience using the technology. Management is not very flexible or understanding regarding the need for work and life balance. There is a lack of structured communication within the development team, with hallway conversations often setting the new direction without being communicated to the rest of the team until much later. Disfunctional.

    Advice to Management

Employees who are equipped with what they need to do their job well tend to be more productive and create better results.
