I worked at Northwestern Health Sciences University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits. That's about the only thing great HR could do for employees. If you stick around long enough and don't complain you'll probably receive a bogus title like, Director.

    Cons

Where to start... This place has been run by the same old bunch of cowardly narcissistic (mostly) men for many years. They know they are the problem with this floundering college, but they're over paid and will never be terminated so why would they leave? Heck, the board of directors are their friends so no chance of being terminated. HR was well aware of the problems and employees' fears to speak out against leadership, but they too would be the next ones out should they raise any eyebrows.

    Advice to Management

Retire. Do not create an 'us' versus 'them' culture. And remember, the minions are real people with families and lives outside the toxic NWHSU world.
