Pros

Great culture, everyone that's been there more than 5 years is up beat and happy that they work there. If you can survive 5 years then you you have a 95% chance of working there for the rest of your life. After 5 years your income is easily over 100k. The hard part is staying in the business until year 3 or so.

Cons

-You get 4k to start and use but once that runs low or out you have to be good at sales to be able to earn money.
-If you hate calling people and talking on the phone, this job is not for you.

    Pros

Unlimited earning potential, full autonomy with work.

    Cons

That unlimited earning potential comes at a cost...unlimited amount of time needed to dedicate to being successful.

    Advice to Management

Hiring large amounts of people to curb against the low retention rate is not an efficient way to set up your financial reps for their future.

  2. "Financial Representative"

I worked at Northwestern Mutual full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The high level producers are very encouraging and very willing to sit down and talk with you, the products are the best on the market, nice signing bonus, good software, great learning experience

    Cons

No base salary, my trainer was pretty poor but that will depend on the office, only teach 1 system that isn't very realistic, unless you can keep generating new leads, will be tough to make it

    Advice to Management

Get a process in place that doesn't just involve asking everyone you know for referrals
