I worked at Northwestern Mutual as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

You basically decide how much you put into the internship (-NO ONE- will directly supervise you)

    Cons

-It's a very unpleasant and difficult job to start in
-No one seems to be realistic about it ^
-Compensation is not motivating at all

I have been working at Northwestern Mutual full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good starting career; encourage growth in terms of credentials.

    Cons

The way the company is structured there is not a lot of room for growth unless you work under a Managing Director or Partner. You are also working more for an individual Advisor rather than the company Northwestern Mutual, so you want to be sure that the advisor has a good reputation and not just NMFN.
