Approves of CEO

Pros

They provide some of the best benefits available, especially the tuition benefit. There are ample resources available to grow in your career if you are self-motivated and self-directed.

Cons

Administrative procedures are confused and convoluted, Turf wars seem to abound between departments and administration. The tenure system has enthroned too many professors who think they have earned the right to treat non-faculty poorly, and badger the administration when they don't get exactly what they want.

Advice to Management

As with all universities, revamp the tenure system to provide for continuing accountability for professors throughout their entire career.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Good benefits, possible to talk to many departments.

    Cons

If P.I. is demanding, that can interfere with outside commitments.

    Advice to Management

Not much advice given because the leadership at Northwestern depends more on the lab mentioned.
