Pros

Great technology stack to work with
Willingness to explore open source options
Flex time available
Coworkers are friendly and helpful
Competitive pay and benefits
Not nearly as much bureaucracy as other larger companies I've worked for
No off-shoring of development that I'm aware of

Cons

Priorities shift constantly, making it difficult to actually complete a project.
Inter-departmental communication is not were it should be
Not sure how the Windstream merger will change the culture.

Advice to Management

More consistent focus and buy-in from upper management on a single project would greatly improve everyone's ability to get things done.

    Pros

The company is financially strong and they have continued to grow. They work well as a team meaning that the engineers, managers, and account executives work together in answering prospects questions and/or concerns in order to gain their business and trust. Other departments are quick to assist if they can. Almost every business is a prospect. The benefit package is good (health insurance, vision care, dental care, 401K, life insurance, vacation time, etc). The office atmosphere is very positive.

    Cons

From an Account Executive's perspective, there are too many representatives in one area. There are no territories assigned. You will prospect for new business only and once you have sold to the customer you will not recieve residuals on that customer (one time payout). It takes to long to receive compensation for the business you have closed (typically 3 months after the order has been entered). Account Executives, Account Managers, and Channel Managers may call on the same prospect (you compete against each other for business). The order process is confusing and time consuming.

    Advice to Management

Allow the local managers to do their jobs. Too much micro managing. Allow Account Executives, that are not from the industry, more time to produce.
