Pros

Not a bad place to work. Pay is good and management in my section is very supportive.

Cons

Some antiquated systems and lagging IT support can make work difficult. Also, being a government agency HR policies are slow to adjust to the modern work force. Lastly, in the past, the NYS pension was a great benefit. It's not now....at least for newer employees. Tier 6 is mediocre at best.
