I worked at OHSU full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Benefits, wages, union representation; learning environment; opportunity to interface with great variety of people.

Cons

Old school system. Need to learn and play by the rules. Huge organization. Must routinely check that your paycheck is accurate (often hours missing).

I worked at OHSU full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you are working full-time, you will have access to some great medical and other benefits, time off, etc.

    Cons

As an employee in a research position that required a Bachelor's, I felt I should have been making more per hour than I did at Home Depot...

    Advice to Management

Invest a little more in your staff for better retention.

I have been working at OHSU full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

3 weeks paid vacation, really good benefits overall (20 days/year of sick time, matched 401K, disability and maternity leave, and Aetna health insurance with decent PPO plan, dental & vision)

    Cons

Parking is terrible! As an employee you can be put on a waiting list to get to park in a parking lot which is about 2-3 years (and then you still have to paid about $100 a month or more depending on where the lot is located). Otherwise you can park on the street which is 2hr parking and they patrol/ticket constantly.
