Pros

They try to have fun and camaraderie. Informal relationships are very warm.

Cons

Starting at almost min wage, $9.50, and - Halleluya!! - getting ****increase*** of $0.25 after 3 months or a year. Nothing is promised after that $9.75. Have to "earn" paid sick days, one per 4 worked months, i.e. 3 paid sick days a year. Two weeks vacation, increases to 3 weeks after 3 years. Turnover is very high, not only because of upset customers, but the complicated Rogers software that put some people at the edge.

Advice to Management

People leave because the wages are burger-flipping wages.

    Pros

The front-line staff are friendly and supportive. Benefits are equal to or greater than many jobs of similar skill.

    Cons

The nearly autonomic daily tasks of technical support are soul-crushing. Horrific scheduling system is heavily flawed and no action has been taken to resolve this. Accountability of management and leadership is null. Corporate stakeholders express a deep concern for the well-being of employees yet are so detached from their concerns that they appear two-faced and uncaring. Commitment to individual personal development is non-existent and training opportunities are both discouraged and hidden from front-line staff. Promotions are neither based on job performance or a demonstrated ability to assume the new role. Management blatantly uses guilt, fear, oppression and other immoral tactics for the purposes of retention.

    Advice to Management

This is a place with a lot of promise but due to outdated policies, mismanagement and outright dishonesty, it is a workplace with a complete lack of integrity. Consider a thorough evaluation of the true contributions of those in management positions at your facilities and try to identify those that could be doing more. Few people are proud to have worked at OLS but that can change.

    I worked at OLS - On-line Support full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The best thing about this job is absolutely nothing. If you want to work with lame, weird people then this is the place for you. I can't think of anything positive. The place only has 11 employees and they're basically all weird and are the owner's friends.
If you want to eat unhealthy and not feel bad about being 400 lbs. This also is a place for you.

    Cons

Everything. The office is an absolute dump where two pugs go the bathroom inside. If that's not enough for you, while you're working you also get to hear other employees urinate and dump in the bathrooms due to just having a cheap office space they lease. Very professional. The owner comes off as a nice guy at first but is truly terrible on every level. Has no clue how to train employees to sell. Only people that have a strong IT background should apply but there are so many better opportunities out there, don't waste your time... Trust me!

    Advice to Management

Strictly hire socially awkward people because any other person in their right mind will run for the hills as soon as they spend a decent amount of time at the company.
