I have been working at ON24, Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Excellent working environment, no politics and everyone really gets along. There is a casual environment, great benefits and decent money. The solutions are top shelf, and really best of breed. Far from being a boring technology, the webcasts and virtual events are fun and sexy. The company is really growing, and it is an exciting time to be here.

Cons

Some of the remote employees may have a slower start getting on board than those who are located in the offices.

Advice to Management

None.

I worked at ON24, Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Self funded happy hours with client support team. Great place to learn how NOT to run a business!
Learn as much as you can as you can and leave as soon as possible.

I've had various roles in this company and I was blessed to work with a team of great people and amazing manager for a year. Who also left ON24 eventually.

    Cons

Disorganized and delusional management. I am surprised how did they make it this far. (I think almost 13 years.)

Managers are stubborn and disorganized. Negligence of technology and best practices takes place across departments.

IT guys, client services, marketing specialists are run like "slaves" or "Lower cast" by their managers. (I think Sharat promotes that). You can feel "cast" difference when top managers are ignoring your existence. Not even saying Hi when bumping into you.

Marketing abuses 3rd party tools for years with no Idea how to use them. Copyrighter doesn't know how to use Wordpress. Managers report numbers that don't make sense. Every meeting is like a BS fest. (i guess it's just marketing).

On24 has more VP titles than any other startup!. Yes; they are still are a startup that has no culture. I wonder why they still don't have "VP of stools and chairs department" title.

    This place is toxic.

    Advice to Management

The longer managers with that company the less they know about their profession. Run performance evaluation of your top management and marketing team particularly! Fire like 80% of them.

Pay attention to people who make company. Don't run them dead.

I have been working at ON24, Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Product is good and market has a lot of potential
Great SF location, lots of food options
    My co-workers are great
    Great holiday party
They bought company in Spain but when it didn't work out they quickly cut bait and sold it back

    Cons

    - Sales have plummeted - company has talked up IPO for 4-years but it's getting old and feels misleading to employees
    - Massive employee turnover, especially long tenured talent which is leaving a void of people to learn from
    - Now CMO has left which a bad sign - especially for IPO
    - There is talk of replacing management team with outside talent but after they replaced VP Sales, they just promoted an internal re-tread.
    - CEO has been there 15-years and is really struggling to figure out how make it happen - he almost never gets in front of customers which is the best way to set the company course

    Advice to Management

    - Bring in some new blood, that seems like the last best best to right the ship
    - Do your best to retain top talent as they have great knowledge to help new employees
    - Don't just talk the talk on servicing client but walk the walk
    - Take a hard look at yourself and decide if you can take the company back to greatness, your employees are also owners and they deserve
