I have been working at OPSWAT full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

-Stable company that is willing to try new ideas
-Various free events, food, gear, snacks, commuter checks
-Excellent challenges and opportunities for software design
-Limited market competition

Cons

-Limited resources for big projects
-Somewhat of "start-up" mentality that is rough if not experienced and highly motivated

Advice to Management

Work smarter not harder, invest in employee education and get people with the right skills for the job. Don't be too greedy in trying to do everything right now.

    Pros

OPSWAT is a great place to work for anyone wanting to hone their programming skills. It's a technical boot camp where you're shoved head-first into the software warzone. Most of the other engineers that work there are also great and very helpful. Free food and snacks!

    Cons

Long hours, tight deadlines, and less-than-average pay--what can I say? Life is rough when vacations are frowned upon and leaving before 6 will get you a few sneers across the office. Don't be surprised if managers constantly change deadlines or try to micromanage your work--it's normal! Remember: You're an anchovy in this food chain. You're hired to do work and only work--not for your professional opinion. Your opinion is irrelevant because the managers are experts in *your* field after a few google searches.

    Advice to Management

There's one awesome manager, I love you man! The rest of the managers could use a course on ethics. It would also help if managers actually spoke the truth instead of constantly watching out for your own rear ends.
