Approves of CEO

I worked at OST Global Solutions as an intern

Pros

Learned a lot about the gov. contracting industry. Other interns were intelligent and good to work with. CEO is very competent and well known in the industry, with many insights into how to properly write winning proposals.

Cons

Very monotonous work; management can be very quirky at times.
Some interns were unsatisfied with the diversity of work. It seemed to be less of a learning experience and more of a low income job (but without pay).

Advice to Management

Hire younger full time staff instead of simply a new batch of interns every semester/summer. It makes it seem as though there is no possibility of advancement.

I worked at OST Global Solutions as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I learned more than I thought I would, government contracting, silly office politics, dysfunctional company operations, and how not to run a business.

    Cons

Unpaid internship, the interns do free work for the company, you learn more from the so called free course they give you.

    Advice to Management

Pay your interns.... It borders on wage stealing. Additionally, define what you do, don't try to get your feet wet in all aspects, become more specialized in one thing. Lastly, be proactive in how you do things not reactive

Well, the course this person got is retailed at $5,000 - so definitely not free. The courses in our Bid & Proposal Academy that interns attend each cost $1,390 - and there are nine of them. In the... More
