I have been working at Ob Hospitalist Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible schedule. Allows you to stay busy or live a close to "normal" life with your family as an OBGYN can. Full time positions across the country, or take part in their travel position (Diplomat) where you may work in different places. I have done both and am happy to have found OBHG. Easy to access help with technology or support. Keep your independence yet work in your field in a large nation wide group... and feel like your job matters! Great compensation for more "rural" regions that are harder to staff. Great benefits. Shifts instead of 24/7 lifestyle of private practice. Be an intern in triage again, only this time know what you are doing! Teaching opportunities as well depending on the facility you are in.

    Cons

Must be willing to use technology to stay engaged with the company. Must be willing to put in your own charges and keep up with documentation timely. You have time to do this, but no one wipes your a@# like in private practice.

I have been working at Ob Hospitalist Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The company is growing by leaps and bounds and its infrastructure has not always kept up with its size. However, management will listen to good ideas and make changes. The company tries hard to show appreciation for its employees.

    Cons

While the company will make and has made changes, they are slow to do so. There are a lot of layers of management to go through before something can get done.

    Advice to Management

    Keep listening to your employees!
