I have been working at Office Depot part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Great co-workers and an easy work environment.

Cons

Sales commission system is completely terrible, you can sell $2,000 dollars worth of computers and get absolutely no commission for it. The only part you get commission on is the protection plans. Also commission isn't paid for the month if your store doesn't meet its monthly quota on protection plans.

I have been working at Office Depot part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some customers like the ISCE Program. Some aspects of ISCE are good. I agree 100% that greeting customers with "What brings you to Office Depot today?" is much friendlier than "How can I help you?" I also can understand asking open-ended questions (the kind that cannot be answered by a simple yes or no).

    Cons

Treating customers like statistics and not human beings, micromanaging, being kept long after scheduled quitting time, constantly walking with a customer (to the point that it bugs them), having to go by a stilted and robotic script when interacting with customers (I say the more spontaneous, the better), seemingly shaking down customers for money by attaching things they may not necessarily want to buy (customers do not like that). In my opinion, ISCE has done more harm than good.

    Advice to Management

Please amend or eliminate the ISCE program, depending on what kind of feedback you get from customers and/or employees.
