Pros

Office Depot offers a great foundation. The associates that I am surrounded by truly care about our company and customers.

Cons

We are seeing growth in sectors and commodities. Additional headcount may be able to accelerate this growth.

Advice to Management

Continue to provide the vision and direction to all associates. We can see the results of our hard work paying off in the field.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Learn how a BIG company runs. Get lotsa training and info. Improves your computer skills. Train yourself to motivate yourself to get a lot of work done without help or pats on the back (or pay increases).

    Cons

Expect to spend a great deal of time checking off tasks that take a lot of time but doesn't help you sell anything. Learn to ignore some of your clients because you can't take care of them all and no one will help you. Don't worry about goals because they are pulled out of a hat - sometimes you get good ones and sometimes you get bad ones. Just keep your head down and work hard. Learn all you can, get keep track of everything and everyone for your resume and get out as soon as you can make a good move.

    Advice to Management

You have good people who want the company to succeed but you don't listen to them. If you don't address the elephant in the room, THE MORALE PROBLEM, you are going to continue to go downhill with lightning speed. How can you demand integrity and ethics when you do not demonstrate them in your dealings with your employees or your customers?
