I have been working at Old Navy part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Learn a wide range of skills and abilities to help you get other jobs in the future. Yearly raises based on work performance throughout the year. A friendly environment

Cons

They do not respect employees who have been there a long time. They give more shifts to new employees. Recommend for short-term jobs only. Many people who shop there do not respect the store, always making a mess. Making work very tedious.

Advice to Management

Respect long-term employees

    Pros

Laid back culture, low key dress code

    Cons

Poorly trained associates who later become poorly trained managers

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring managers from the people who've worked there the longest, your best people would come from outside the company, people with education and a background in management.

I worked at Old Navy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great schedule and very flexible. Can make decisions outside of the box.

    Cons

Managers were overwhelmed with paperwork and spent too much time in the office. To move up, it's all who you know.

    Advice to Management

You ask too much of managers and take away from the floor experience.
