I have been working at Old Navy part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Old Navy has a fun working environment. It tries to be inclusive and motiving on a daily basis.

Cons

The distribution of hours was based on Old Navy credit card acquisitions.

I worked at Old Navy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great discount on clothes. If you need a second job or are in school they are flexible with schedules.

    Cons

It used have a happy, fun vibe to it but since corporate is cracking the whip on management that stress and anger trickles down to hourly associates. They'll make unrealistic quotas sales to keep up with. If you can't get a certain amount of customers to open up credit cards your hours will get cut.
They are constantly hiring new employees (about 7 a month).
ON's sweatshops are always getting into trouble for cruel working conditions, sometimes there will be protesters outside of the store.
Managers will hire friends just so they can get the employee discounts.

    Advice to Management

Be realistic with sale goals. Ease the pressure on getting customers to open Old Navy credit cards. Also if the quality of the product is decreasing do not up the prices but that's a corporate concern.

I have been working at Old Navy part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They'll hire you. They will help you get acquainted with working and answer any questions that you have about style, how to handle certain situations, etc.

    Cons

Co-workers never return the favor when you pick up shifts. Raises are very small. Managers are biased and carry favorites. They won't remove people off of the work list because they don't want the turn over. Also, the priorities aren't right, in my opinion. Told a manager about a potential loss prevention situation, and they "forgot" about it. The customers got away with a lot of things.

    Advice to Management

Fix the shipment situation. It is ridiculous that there are individually packed items of clothing.
