Positive Outlook

I worked at Olive Garden Italian Restaurants full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

As a server at 4 different Olive Gardens for a total of 9 years I have to say my overall experience was an extremely positive one. They offer a pretty decent benefits package & instead of sticking the servers with a bunch of tedious sidework most of them use the hourly back-of-the-house staff for things like rolling silverware & cutting & stocking lemons.

Cons

The 3 table maximum policy can be a little annoying seeing as most servers can easily handle a 5 or 6 table section, but the turn-over rate is high enough to still make decent $

Advice to Management

Give those servers more tables :-)

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Olive Garden Italian Restaurants full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are very well and along with the ambiance of the other employees. They give a good amount of hours and many of the workers work extra hard to help each other out.

    Cons

Internal promotions are very scarce and flow of restaurant has decreased. Communication has also decreased among all departments.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Olive Garden Italian Restaurants part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

the money can be great. but if you can't serve it's probably not worth it.

    Cons

no breaks....at all. i've worked 11 hours shifts and not even been able to take a 15 minute break.

    Advice to Management

follow labor laws or there surely will be more lawsuits against the company
