I worked at Omni Hotels part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Good pay in Florida. The opportunities were endless if I would have stayed with the company longer I would be a manager.

Cons

Long hours during the holiday season, weekends, and the summer months.

I have been working at Omni Hotels full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you don't like to think there is an SOP for EVERYTHING. And, it appears that it is almost impossible to get fired from this company.

    Cons

Company settles for mediocrity with employee performance. Huge focus on promote from within and no turnover keeps C players in the company. Employee morale is atrocious and the corporate office compounds this instead of being a support to the hotels. If you are intelligent and an entrepreneur you will not advance in this company. And don't ever make the mistake of speaking up.

    Advice to Management

Get in tune with what is going on in the hotels. Get out in the field and talk to employees. Take a look at work/office conditions. Corporate office should be a support system for the hotels, not a governing body. Remember who's making the money...

I worked at Omni Hotels full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay, Ability to move up, Power of One, Beautiful Up Scale Hotel, Management overall were terrific, Diversity of people that come in and are very friendly and have class, Fast paced environment, famous people come in

    Cons

You got your schedules for one week at a time, 0-1 days off a week, You worked overtime a lot, (I never got payed), No breaks unless it's a rare slow day, You were forced to deduct $10 off your paycheck for lunch even if you didn't get any, manager didn't listen to ongoing fixable problems

    Advice to Management

Try going undercover to see what actually goes on in Texas Spice, ex. Undercover Boss.
