Pros

Interesting technology. A leader in their business, although Samsung and Aptina are close behind. Sell to multiple markets for good diversification.

Cons

C-level execs retain mediocre managers and directors, who then squeeze every last bit of time and blood out of the staff. Taking time off earns a "not committed to the company" reputation.

Advice to Management

Stop treating workers like robots. Start promoting people who can successfully manage a team, not the people who have been there 15 years.

    I worked at OmniVision Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    The people I worked with made the company tolerable.

    Cons

    Attitudes and policies come from the top. So it is easy to guess where the problem comes from.

    Advice to Management

    Don't punish employees because they put in a full 8 hours a day or aren't doing enough overtime (i.e. Be in the office for more than the recommended 8 hours)
