    Pros

The people that work here are really bright. But since we have been acquired by Northern Trust, some of the more senior/brightest employees have been jumping ship to go elsewhere.
Exposure to work with several hedge fund clients.
Not as micro managed as other firms, if you get your work done, most likely won't be bothered.

    Cons

Long hours, while working through lunch.
Not much of a culture, people tend to keep to themselves (mostly due to the fact that there is too much work to have much time socializing).
Sink or swim training program, employees are thrown clients without any formal training, and expected to pick up how to do the work.
Not much input from employees are taken into consideration when huge decisions are made by upper management that directly affect that work that you do.
Management that doesn't understand the day to day processes (therefore may not make the best decisions for the group as a whole).
Uneven workload distribution, some employees may work 12+ hour days, while employees in the same group work a 40 hour work week.

    Advice to Management

Keep employees more in the loop regarding major decisions, and ask for their feedback regarding solutions to problems.
Promote a more social environment -- encourage weekly (or even monthly) lunches with the team.
