Equitable pay: We are deeply committed to creating a great workplace. To date, we have restructured salary scales for staff, introduced additional benefits for junior-level staff, and instituted consistent performance standards. We continue to invest in our efforts to ensure equity and fairness become part of the lived experience for all staff.
Recruitment: I am sorry to hear the process felt long and tiring. We appreciate that our candidates are busy and we aim to respect their time. As much as possible, we let candidates know what to expect throughout the application process. That said, over the past two years, we’ve made significant changes to our hiring process in response to candidate feedback and developments in global recruitment best practices. For instance, over the last several years, we’ve reduced the number of questions on our application by about 25%, and we have made great progress in shortening the length of our hiring time to about six weeks on average. All roles at the organization go through the same hiring process [explained here: https://oneacrefund.org/work-with-us/applying/]. For all prospective job candidates, we use a structured hiring process in order to assess strengths, experiences, and skills.
