I worked at OppenheimerFunds as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Convenient office location, friendly colleagues

    Cons

Interned for a broker in the private client division. was expected to cold call all day. any learning (which there was little of) came from my inclination to ask questions and request more responsibility. final paper at the end was a pointless exercise. Don't pay which may be standard for my internship but ibanking interns didn't get paid either if i recall. People in other groups may have had better experiences

"Major micromanagement issues at OppenheimerFunds! Be cautious about taking a job here!"

I worked at OppenheimerFunds full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very few. During my employment at OppenheimerFunds I felt very limited and under-appreciated. Unfortunately for Oppenheimer, I was not the only one who felt this way, which ultimately led to a very high turnover rate.

    Cons

Extreme micromanagement in place, to the point where it completely killed the morale of many employees Never ending changes in expectations, management techniques, and policies.

    Advice to Management

Learn to treat your employees the way you would like to be treated!
