Small company allows you to make good impact

    Cons

Audit Department tries fool the regulators and succeeds some of the time.

    Advice to Management

Add component leaders/management within the audit department. Instead of being a reactive department, it should be a proactive department.

    Opus Bank Response

    October 7, 2019EVP, CHRO

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for your feedback and for working in IT at Opus Bank. We appreciate your service. Opus Bank is a very unique environment. We are a small bank, and yet we face all the complexities of a "big" bank in terms of processes, products and regulations. This means that every job, and every team member at Opus Bank really can make an impact. We appreciate you pointing that out. Regarding Internal Audit, our team adheres to the Institute of Internal Auditors Code of Ethics, and International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. The Department is overseen by the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, and is subject to rigorous examinations by its prudential regulator and state examiners. Our Internal Audit department is an important member of the Opus Bank team. Thank you again for your feedback. We wish you the best in your future endeavors. Regards, Greg von der Linden EVP, CHRO
