I worked at Oracle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Access to Oracle technology stack, good software development methodologies. Good career progression for software engineers going down the project management path.

    Cons

Large organization. Very large. Talented technical contributors will find it easy to differentiate themselves from the rest, but hard to make a difference to the overall product quality.

    Advice to Management

Without your developers, you have no product. Compensate your IT staff better compared with the incentives provided to sales/marketing staff.
