I worked at Oral Roberts University full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - ORU is small enough that you have the chance to pull strings and make a difference without too much regulations in your way - The employees are almost all overwhelmingly kind and the atmosphere of the campus is peaceful and positive

    Cons

    - The Peter Principle is strong here. Ineptitude trickles up and makes it difficult for ambitious employees to stay around long term. - Budgets are rather fluid and while ORU boasts its highest attendance ever, sweeping cuts are made to education and admissions departments which precedes layoffs - Terrible health care benefits

    Advice to Management

Spend time off hours to grow in your skills

I worked at Oral Roberts University part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I had a very good team to work with.

    Cons

Way underpaid. As a student worker, was expected to work an average of 30 hours a week for 7.50 an hour

    Advice to Management

Pay your staff more, part time and full time, it will make everyone much happier to work for you. You won’t have so much turnover either.
