    People First culture is truly being nurtured at Oshkosh Corporation. While changing a culture takes time, our Leadership Team models People First day in and day out. We have a ways to go in development of leaders in this culture across the organization and I have no doubt we will get there. Great to work for an organization that has a strong purpose to Make A Difference in People’s Lives and makes products that protect and serve the people who use them. Good work-life balance.

    Opportunity to connect functions better. Can be very siloed.

    I worked at Oshkosh Corporation full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Company culture, career development, salary, many of the business leaders, business units are profitable.

    Cons

    Health plan is below average for the size of the company Corporate HR celebrating fake successes: Implementation of HRIS. HRIS was implemented but underutilized with no reporting and data, HR Shared Services model was intended to be a cost reduction, but the model provided no reduction with the potential to be more costly. They have a "Global" HR team who only have hours to service North America, and the Shared Services model that doesn't support 70% of their employees (production and global). Yet, the Corporate HR leadership call it a success. For an innovative company, the leaders are often stuck in their ways. Oshkosh wants to be a global company, but they are too heavily focused on Wisconsin.
