I worked at Outback Steakhouse part-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

I loved the people and the flexible work hours while in college. There are also great employee discounts on food etc. Would recommend.

Cons

The income is not as steady because it is just part-time and much of your money is relied on tips. The schedule is given at most two weeks in advance, but usually just one so it can be hard to make plans sometimes.

I have been working at Outback Steakhouse part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible schedule, great work environment, awesome managers. When the pay is good during the busy season, it makes work easier.

    Cons

Has become very corporate now with more eyes over your shoulder. The introduction of Ecosure and the removal of bussers has made for a heavier work load with no pay increase. The customer base has turned into that of a Chili's or an Applebees - not that classy. The restaurant has changed from a place that people wanted to come and spend money to a meal replacement for families. The new national marketing campaign has dished out coupons left and right bringing in people who normally cannot afford to eat out. This may increase the sales for Outback, but the tips have steadily declined due to a lower class clientele.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Not much management can do to attract a different market base or force people to tip.
