I have been working at Outerwall full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

The pay
My co-workers
not much else

Cons

Leadership is very isolated. They do not seek / bring competent people into the group to help them make the right decisions.

There is no opportunity if you aren't considered an insider
Lot's of suspicion and mistrust
Obvious decisions take a back seat to favoritism.
My very competent co-workers are kept from fixing what is obviously broken.
It's a very tough place to work.
Goldmine for SAP consultants. Two plus years and it still is not 25% implemented.. wow
It is so embarrassing

I worked at Outerwall full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People are conscientious about their work and friendly. Company is stable, but becoming a little less so as they try to find their way in a quickly changing world. Pace is a little slow, but on the upside, work life balance is good.

    Cons

Most of the company moves at a very slow pace, with perhaps the exception of the New Ventures organization. With a recent leadership changes, including at the CEO level, direction is a little unclear. Total compensation is below average for Seattle, particularly in the technology sector.

I worked at Outerwall full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great salaries and bennies, friendly coworkers who care about the business, lot of team spirit, great work/life balance, culture below management is extremely good.

    Cons

Management doesn't know what they're doing, technology is so not rocket science; abusive, managers who say/can do what they want without consequences.

    Advice to Management

    Practise the Coinstar values!!!
