      Pros

Intense when it needs to be, relaxed when appropriate. Modern, complex tech stack. Thorough measurement and monitoring of environments. Management is transparent and effective. Good, collaborative atmosphere.

      Cons

Lots of legacy systems and complex interactions, effects of change are not always immediately evident. Some processes evolve slowly.

          Pros

There's always been a contagious friendliness, and most of the departments want the other departments to succeed.

          Cons

Over the years the culture has splintered. So many layoffs over the years has left caring for many departments and ecommerce needs lacking. Good for Overstock for running on bare bones, but after so many shortcuts, it's hard to care about the quality of projects.

Need Advice! I interviewed with a company last year. They presented an offer at the end which I declined because when I reached out to 2 people both of highlighted the toxic manager. Since I was in a good state I declined the offer even though it was better than what I demanded. They did connect me with HR who acknowledged some issues but was like nothing to do here. Fast forward another recruiter reached out last month. I asked him about the manager and it was the same at which point Contd…

i completed a Hirevue for a company I’m extremely interested in last week. would it be a good move to reach out to a recruiter on linkedin expressing my interest in the role / why I’m a solid candidate for the role? for context I don’t have any comms with a recruiter just yet as the hirevue was automated
