I have been working at Oxford University full-time

    Pros

Great city, relaxed environment with good facilities. Treated like an adult and motivated to perform & learn new skills.

    Cons

Red tape in certain areas, as I had expected. There are a lot of people who are "set in their ways", but this is more amusing than off-putting.

  2. "Challenging but rewarding."

I have been working at Oxford University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You work with extremely intelligent people. You have opportunity to learn a lot but you need to reach for the knowledge as it will not be served to you.

    Cons

Long hours, low pay and no social recognition for being scientist. As every University, Oxford is very political.

    Advice to Management

Guide PhD students more during the first year of the course.
