I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time (More than a year)

Pros

The Colorado Springs, CO location is almost always busy, so there is a great opportunity to make money. I also enjoy the upscale clientele of the restaurant, which generally means we get fewer rude people who do not know how to tip.

Cons

This particular location is always understaffed, which means that everyone is overworked. There is also a high turnover rate. I have also heard from servers who have worked for other companies that the steps of service at P.F. Chang's require a lot more work than at other restaurants.

Advice to Management

Make your staff want to stay with P.F. Chang's by hiring more people.

flexibility with taking time off, OK hourly wage, easy job, working with other young crowd, It's easy to talk to senior level management regarding hours/wage, easy to find people to cover your shifts when need be

    Cons

managers play favorites, working doubles if there aren't enough workers, sometimes stuck with other workers who don't work hard, difficult to get a raise

    Advice to Management

recognize your better workers, don't let servers complain about their customers

    I worked at P.F. Chang's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only pro is getting free food when you work there. The food can be good depending on which cook is cooking it.

    Cons

This place goes through General Managers (Operating Partners) like water. 4 in 2 years. 15 managers in 3 years. The managers are not respected by these Operating Partners. The servers run the place. All they have to do is make false claims about managers and the managers are fired or written up. The Operating partners have been incompetent at their positions and because of this, the managers have to do everything, yet, the OPs get all the praise, but when the OP fails, the managers get blamed. The worst restaurant to work for!

    Advice to Management

Support your Managers. Do not let the hourly drama queens run the place.
